Dreamforce 2026: What Salesforce Announced and What It Means for Your Business
Salesforce held Dreamforce 2026 in San Francisco from 15 to 17 September. The headline was AIforce, a new layer that lets people and AI agents use Salesforce from wherever they already work. Here is what was announced, what you can use today, and what it means if you run Salesforce.
The short version
Salesforce no longer expects everyone to work inside Salesforce. Your CRM data, rules and permissions now travel to Slack, to Claude and to other AI tools, and AI agents do more of the routine work on top of them.
Marc Benioff called it an "interface revolution", comparing it to the shifts from DOS to graphical screens, then to the web and mobile. Much of what was shown is still in beta or pilot, so for most businesses this is a year to prepare and pilot, not to switch everything over.
AIforce: Salesforce wherever you work
AIforce is what Salesforce calls a live interface layer. It connects Salesforce data, workflows, permissions and security to whichever AI tool or agent your people use. It launched in three parts.
Claudeforce puts Salesforce inside Anthropic's Claude, with 37 prebuilt sales skills such as meeting prep and pipeline reviews. It is now in open beta; customers request access on AppExchange with their org ID. We covered the partnership behind it in our Claudeforce article.
Slackforce makes Slack a full Salesforce workspace. Teams can create and update CRM records from a message, and ask Slackbot to build a live view of a report or dashboard inside the conversation.
Agentforce Coworker is an AI teammate inside Salesforce itself. It answers plain-language questions across your accounts and hands tasks to specialist agents. It is generally available, and Salesforce says 100,000 users turned it on in its first 35 days.
Koa: Salesforce's own CRM model
Koa is Salesforce's first AI model built for CRM work, built with NVIDIA on its Nemotron model. Salesforce trained it on synthetic data based on 27 years of CRM deployments and says it makes three times fewer errors than leading models on its CRM benchmark.
Salesforce runs Koa on its own infrastructure. It is in pilot now, with general availability in US regions expected in winter 2026. For customers in Malaysia, it is one to watch rather than plan around yet.
Agents with names and jobs
Salesforce now names its ready-made Agentforce agents after the job they do. Most are generally available.
Keeping agents in check
More agents means more to oversee, and Salesforce spent real stage time on it. Agentforce Observability shows what live agents are doing, including on voice calls. Agent Optimizer finds problems in agents already running and writes tests for them.
An AI control plane lists, registers and monitors every agent, including ones from other vendors. Before an outside tool connects to Agentforce through MCP, Salesforce now scans it and rates its risk as low, medium or high.
Google and AWS
Salesforce's Hyperforce infrastructure is coming to Google Cloud, and Salesforce now connects to Gemini Enterprise. On AWS, Salesforce context reaches Amazon Quick and AWS agents can work in Slack. If your company already standardises on one cloud, Salesforce now fits into it more easily.
What it means for Salesforce customers
Your data matters more, not less. Every one of these tools reads your CRM. If deals sit at the wrong stage and contacts are duplicated, agents in Slack, Claude and Salesforce will repeat those mistakes faster. Clean, connected data is still the first step.
Permissions become your guardrails. AIforce works through each user's existing access. If your sharing rules are loose, every new surface inherits that looseness.
Adoption gets easier. Staff who avoid logging in to Salesforce can now update it from Slack or Claude, so records stay current without chasing people.
Pilot now, scale later. Agentforce Coworker and most named agents are live today. Claudeforce, Koa and Hunter are not yet generally available, and Salesforce says pricing and packaging may still change.
